Santiago Fernández de Córdoba

Santiago Fernández de Córdoba is an economist at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and a Special Professor of Economics at Universidad de Navarra, Spain. He has been a consultant for the World Bank and worked in management consulting and corporate finance. Mr. Fernández de Córdoba also published the book, Coping with Trade Reform, and a number of studies on economic policy, modeling trade negotiations.

Developing countries depend on national and global economic growth to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015. In this regard, international trade is recognized as a powerful instrument to stimulate economic progress and alleviate poverty.
